WLED Zonohedrified Heptagrammic Prism

Zonohedrified Heptagrammic Prism wled-21

When I moved to South Carolina in 2021, I designed a fully accessible house which included a kitchen island. I purposely didn’t add any lighting over the island at the time knowing that I wanted to design and build something myself. I had many ideas, but eventually landed on creating an object that would expand on my polyhedral design capabilities, and add a unique WLED programmable lighting fixture, as well as a recessed can light to shine down on the island. This is the largest project I have done on any of my maker machines, and uses a combination of 3D printed parts and laser cut faces. I plan on making a second one to match, but this post contains the details of finishing the first one. I needed a lot of assistance on this due to my disability, so it took a few months and many sessions to complete. I’ll post pics after the second on is complete later this year.
